Turning Households Into a Power Plant: DTCF Backs Rabot Energy in USD 50 Million Series B

For decades, the energy system followed a simple script. Large power plants produced electricity, and households simply consumed it. That model is changing, and Rabot Energy is one of the companies making the change happen. Today, we are proud to join the company’s USD 50 million Series B alongside Endeit and existing investors as Rabot moves into its next phase of growth.

From Generating Power to Using It Smartly

Electrified transport and heating are pushing electricity demand up. At the same time, renewables keep expanding. That shifts the key question. It is no longer only how much power we generate, but when and how we use it.

Rabot Energy offers dynamic electricity tariffs that help customers move flexible consumption to times when power is cheap and renewable. Batteries charge when renewable power is abundant and discharge when it is scarce. Every kilowatt-hour shifted this way reduces the need for gas-fired peak generation and helps prevent renewable power from being curtailed.

In June 2026, Rabot launched Rabot Flow. The offer combines a dynamic tariff, a smart meter, and a plug-and-play home battery which connects to a standard household socket, and can be activated in less than two minutes through the app. No rooftop solar system is required, so renters can take part too. Rabot estimates that Rabot Flow can reduce the energy costs of an average household by 15 percent.

Connected batteries can also be aggregated into a virtual power plant. Jan Rabe, CEO of Rabot Energy, sums up the vision: „The next generation of power plants will not be built; it will be connected. Millions of households have enormous untapped potential to do more than simply consume energy and instead become an active part of the wider energy system. With our Series B, we are turning individual households into a network that helps stabilise the power system, accelerate the energy transition and, at the same time, significantly reduce our customers’ electricity bills.“

Traction That Speaks for Itself

Within three and a half years, Rabot has grown to more than 200,000 customers, including around 15,000 commercial and industrial customers. Revenue has reached EUR 200 million. The company supplies more than 600 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity. According to Rabot’s own calculations, customers saved a combined EUR 45 million in 2025 compared with their default supplier tariffs. The next goal is clear: one million customers.

Why we’re Doubling down

Our joint investment platform has been part of Rabot’s journey since 2022, and increasing our commitment to its vision felt like the natural next step. Romy Schnelle, Managing Director of DTCF and HTGF, puts it this way: „Since HTGF first invested in 2022, Jan and his team have shown that they can turn a complex energy market into a product customers love. That’s why we’re doubling down: with DTCF co-leading alongside Endeit, our multi-stage VC platform takes Rabot from early conviction to scale.„

Dr. Anne Hinze, Senior Investment Manager at DTCF, adds: „Jan and his team immediately convinced us with their ambitious vision, outstanding execution and relentless commitment. We are very pleased to support them as a partner on this journey.„

For us, the case is clear. Europe’s energy transition will be won in homes as well as in power stations. Rabot is building the platform that makes millions of households part of the solution.
